Literature: the opening of Don Quixote
The famous first lines of Cervantes’s novel (1605), with glosses for the old words and a modern version alongside.
Classic literature mixes words that no longer exist (adarga, vellorí) with old spellings (deste, mesmo, lantejas). Read it slowly, tap the glosses, and use “Show English” for a modern translation. The questions check that you have understood the portrait of the hidalgo.
